Hi there! I’m so excited you’re here. My name is Tasha, and if you couldn’t guess from the title of this blog, I’m a cookie enthusiast—through and through. I’ve been baking for many years, and it all started in the kitchen of my childhood home in Maine. The very first thing I learned how to bake was a batch of classic chocolate chip cookies. Little did I know, that first batch would turn into something far more than just a recipe—it would become a cornerstone of my baking journey and a sweet family tradition.
I promise I won’t keep you scrolling through endless paragraphs before you get to the good stuff! When I'm looking for a recipe, I prefer to dive straight into the details without a long introduction, and I’m guessing you do too. You see, my dad quickly discovered how much he loved cookies, especially chocolate chip ones. To this day, I think he has a second stomach reserved exclusively for cookies (seriously, I’ve never seen anyone enjoy them as much as he does!). From that point on, he’d request I bake something nearly every week, which is how I ended up experimenting with a whole bunch of different treats—cakes, pies, puff pastries, you name it. But no matter what I made, I always came back to cookies. There’s just something about them that keeps me coming back for more.
I’ve always said, “I love an excuse to bake,” and that’s exactly why I started this blog. It’s the perfect reason to try out new recipes, experiment with ingredients, and share all of my cookie creations (and sometimes epic failures) with you. Baking has been my hobby for years, and trust me, it’s a passion that’s not going anywhere anytime soon. Not with my sweet tooth, anyway!
What I love most about baking cookies is the satisfaction of creating the perfect sweet treat that you can easily pack up and bring anywhere to share. Sure, sometimes things don’t go as planned—there have been a few batches that were less than perfect (okay, maybe even a little disastrous)—but that’s all part of the fun!
Plus, I always get to enjoy the rewards of my hard work. I mean, who can resist a warm, gooey cookie straight out of the oven?
